Had a fantastic time with my friends! We visited the nearby beach and explored the local shops. The rooms were clean and comfy, and the staff were super helpful. Plus, the location is great—just a short walk to everything. Don't forget to get a parking permit. it's easy and cheap on arrival!

One downside was the wifi. it was a bit slow and kept disconnecting, which was annoying when we needed it.

Check-in through the Skuba Bar, though busy, felt like part of the experience. Breakfast included a few nice options, and the location was perfect for getting to the ferry. the numerous stairs without a lift made getting to our room a real chore, especially after a long day. The noise from the bar was disruptive at night, making sleep difficult. Some areas needed maintenance attention. I noticed damp marks in the bathroom that could use some care. the charm of the place is there, but it really could use a refresh.

i previously stayed in folkestone but the portland really exceeded my expectations. the room was spacious and comfy, with a powerful shower and a fantastic view of the beach. the staff were friendly and even offered a discount on drinks—definitely a pleasant surprise.
