    great location
    slow wifi

Had a fantastic time with my friends! We visited the nearby beach and explored the local shops. The rooms were clean and comfy, and the staff were super helpful. Plus, the location is great—just a short walk to everything. Don't forget to get a parking permit. it's easy and cheap on arrival!

One downside was the wifi. it was a bit slow and kept disconnecting, which was annoying when we needed it.

    large room
    garden area
    sheer number of stairs

I had a lovely stay where the large room made me feel right at home, and I enjoyed a peaceful night without any noise. I loved spending my evenings in the garden area and unwinding with some karaoke. The only downside was the sheer number of stairs to navigate, but it definitely won't stop me from recommending this place! 😊

great stay with some room for improvement

The check-in process was efficient, with staff who went out of their way to assist me when the key malfunctioned. The room was generously sized, which provided a cozy environment, especially with the beautiful city view that added charm.

    The decor felt somewhat outdated.

    slow wifi
    frequent disconnections

I stayed here for a short getaway with friends and found the rooms clean and comfy, which was a pleasant surprise given the rate. The helpful staff made our stay enjoyable, and the location made it easy to explore the nearby beach and local shops. we did experience some issues with the slow wifi, which disconnected frequently when we needed it most.

    friendly staff
    clean accommodations
    spacious rooms
    noisy bar
    many stairs
    maintenance issues

The Portland offers a mixed bag. I loved the room—it was spacious, airy, and spotlessly clean. The staff stood out. they were friendly and eager to help. Check-in through the Skuba Bar, though busy, felt like part of the experience. Breakfast included a few nice options, and the location was perfect for getting to the ferry. the numerous stairs without a lift made getting to our room a real chore, especially after a long day. The noise from the bar was disruptive at night, making sleep difficult. Some areas needed maintenance attention. I noticed damp marks in the bathroom that could use some care. the charm of the place is there, but it really could use a refresh.
